This Friday I went to the Aura pool party yet again. Last time's pool party involved many incidents, some of which didn't fit on Fluon. The party had better music this time. It might have been, because instead of an eramus DJ there was a mixtape playing.

This time I almost didn't make it to the party. We started driving from Tallinn at around 8. That's when I got a call saying that there's a spare ticket for the pool party, but I had to make it before 10:30 when they closed the doors.

Erasmus is unisex by nature.

I urged our driver to make haste so I could join in on the wet fun and drinks. As we reached Tartu I jumped off, grabbed a pair of trunks and got back on the car.

 My ticket was supposed to be under a fake name. But as I reached Aura water center I saw a familiar face on the door. Of course the girl knew I wasn't Mihkel and asked me for the piece of paper.

No drinks allowed to be brought in.

I couldn't also reach my friends to find out why there was no ticket waiting for me at the door as they had texted me. So I stood there calling and waiting, watching all the people go in.

After I had tried to get hold of them for the third time, the girl I knew waved me in. I was happy and headed to the dressing room without looking back.

I couldn't find my people anywhere inside so I headed back to the lockers. As it turned out they had arrived after me, not before. And when they tried to leave the ticket for me, they were informed that I was already let in.

The four hours of the pool party went as usual. The drinks-water slides-sauna-light therapy routine like the two last times.

Of course we had to go on the balcony with practically no clothes or shoes on, to see who catches a cold. It seems I succeeded, send me honey.

A lot is going down in the pool.

The aroma sauna is always a cool place to hide from drunkards who insist on bringing an inflatable boat to the hot tub. This time we enjoyed the arome of something called the "Japanese herbs" also my american friend got teased about his Russian skill by a Lithuanian.

My other favorite part is the light therapy. Basically you stare into a bright light for 15 minutes at least and your body starts producing a hormone that you don't get during the dark winter. You're not supposed to do it after 8pm not to screw up your sleeping schedule, but I like doing it at 1 am to squeeze couple more hours out of a night.

Last time I was in Kivi, girls were dancing there.

On Saturday I went to look around Tartu to see what was happening. After going through my usual places I stayed in Nälg for a drink, chatted at Kivi and went by Genklubi and Kink Konk and got home at 4:30.

I can't believe there's nothing to do.

At the pool like a sir.

The pool party wasn't half the party it was a year ago although this time we made it there a bit more sober. Also our party crew was bigger than last year. It's important to bring your own crew as everyone else was Erasmus students. I did meet a couple locals I kind of knew. The crowd was a third of what there was last year.

Most of the time the choice was between cocktails at the pool side or being in the pool. We also played basketball and the trophy for winning was a pair of deep bite marks. In addition there were water slides, a bar with drinks, four jacuzzis and three different saunas. Some of those saunas were on the "wrong" side, but during the party most of the facilities became unisex any way.

The events of the night are blurred as I was enjoyed a fair share cuba libres. I do recall seeing the end of the limbo contest. The winner was the one who could stand up by himself. I also overheard some guys and girls discuss whether they should smoke the weed inside the aroma sauna or on the balcony. Because of our presence they chose the balcony.

I had never seen the DJ before and I guess there hasn't been much of a chance for that anyway. I remember his selection included the "Gangnam style" which didn't make the people go as crazy as he had hoped.

I ended my night with hitting my head on the water slide at the last minute and now I have a concussion. That might be the reason I got these photos looking so colorful. No worries I'm recovering.

There wasn't that much more to fit into the short 4 hours there. We did get a tour of sexual preferences of various men around the pool from our connoiseur of the subject.

Last falls pool party was a more impressive experience for me, but I might go to the next one or maybe not.

Welcome to my birthday party. You're a little late, I had a special present for you. Still look around, mingle and enjoy the party. As you can see old friends like Sebastien Tellier, Toxic Avenger, Hercules + Love Affair and Frankmusik are here. They'll be playing soon, just push play>

First we cruise the streets of facebook with bass and invite people with us to the night. All the french electro Djs, bad girls and cool dancers are welcome. Come on, invite your friends over here as well, the more the merrier. Share it, so we'll break the current record for Fluon which is 120. If you find these guys a bit strange then don't worry it's just that they are French. It's an advantage when we get to the night club, because they know how to dance. Stay with us because our next stop is a pub in England. I also wanted to take you to Calvin Harris' Scottish manor, but his label hasn't allowed this.

Next part of the night - England with Frankmusik. He guides us through the night from a pub to another and even to the dusty dumpster to throw up. Meet loads of easy girls, skinny hipster boys with fake glasses and an occasional bloke parading by. Enough of dancing in the night club, it's time to take shots of hard licor with the locals. Try not to get too wasted an kicked out like Frank usually does. We still have to go to New York city for the afterparty.

It appears we have traveled back in time as well. Welcome to the eighties of New York city. They sing to "put my house in order", but noone is bothering with cleaning up and everyone is just partying away to the next day. Loads of empty and half empty bottles and snacks on the tables and the messed up mascara of the girls because of  making out with the french boys in the night club. How come there are so many people in horrible outfits here? Oh well, whatever it's time for last drinks. One for the road, but where are we going to next?

The hangover is an artform in itself. This party ends with the French hangover or a gueule du bois. The cloudy morning has arrived, the pool is out of champagne and Sebastien Tellier is singing. Apparently everyone else stayed in New York city and it's just us, Sebastien Tellier and twenty three French girls over here. I lend him my sunglasses because the dim morning light hurts his eyes and he can't sing properly without those. The girls can't find their pants anywhere or remember why they don't have any in the first place. It doesn't really matter it's not that cold. Everyone can go around in their underwear anyway. We have some breakfast, make out with some girls and talk about last nights party. It's almost over now.

Push play and read how two ballerinas suggested that I remix our Eurovision talent. They wanted to play it at their ballerina Christmas party. Unfortunately it was interrupted by a gang of Russians who wanted to listen to hardstyle instead. Why is it hardstyle? It's not hard and it has no style. The first opportunity for style is 25th as I Dj with friends in our local bar. No live show this time, but I will play some unexpected tracks.

Do you find the backwards Santa confusing? Christmas is confusing. Where are the good Christmas parties, miracles and why is Arnold Schwarzenegger flying around in a superhero costume?

I prefer the new years eve, the night of drinking champagne to kiss everyone at midnight. Rockets and champagne corks flying to the bright night sky. The most parties are happening, but how many can you make it to? My personal record is six. Seven if you count the afterparty in my bed. Looking forward to it all again and hopefully see you there.

The Live at the helioport was a real experience. The sea breeze, the chopper and the guests lounging with the birthday boy. There were boats leaving and arriving as well and some fishermen who came to see what was going on. It took lots of drinks to keep warm but it comes with the job especially when playing in cool venues.

I decided to share a preview of the Röövel Ööbik remix which has not yet been released. It's the youtube video in the beginning of the post. It's a bit softer than my usual approach and has chilled vibe to it that can be enjoyed while à l'herbe.

I gained some insight into which direction pursue with my music so new tracks should be following soon and parties where those tracks will be played for your dancing pleasure. It will be the distorted bassline type of stuff in the lines of Proxy and MSTRKRFT I personally call it Drtylectro.

I'm playing live this saturday. This time in Tartu at a crazy party that's called Jurjev Supersonic 2. My design old school flyer is below. All the new remixes, fresh tracks and old classics will be played. See you there!

BTW if you haven't checked out Steve Aoki and Armand van Helden's collaboration on a track called Brrrat then be sure to do it. I've listened to it a hundred times already.

Tallinn Ego remixed

Back from Tallinn, yet another Live played. This time at a small thing with friends. I loved the fact that most of the people there were Russian. I feel that the Russian crowd is a very interesting one and it's too bad that I haven't had too many shows involving them. I definetly would like to, in the future. And lets face it, the girls are something else.

I had a fever. It really was too bad but actually in a way it was nice to just bob my head instead of jumping around. Okay okay, I actually did jump around the place with Iwan. Sending him a shout out for being at the party with us. His blog where he writes about his interesting technology based art. I had a worse fever a couple of years ago when I was reading in Kumu for a book presentation. My mouth was dry and I had to walk around not to collapse. And it's all on video.

The theme for the party was Lego Ego. I always have one part of it with me ;) Of course I did get a little help from a friend or two - mixing rum, gognac, tequila and cider. The mood was set despite the fever and the party took off. Crazy lights and visualizations flashing everywhere, strobes firing. People jumping, playing with legos and old videogames. After me dr Esc and .Khi played.

Last weekend I was in Tallinn, in a former prison performing the N0NStars set. There are no records of that ever taking place, the memories are quite blurred even in my head.

Live at Robotanical Park

I just returned from playing at the Estonian festival Robotanical Park.
The three day festival was on a beautiful beach on the north coast.
I was performing my new N0NStars live (a little piece of it can be found here).
Wonderful people, the best weather and a fast beat and the party took off.
Probably some videos soon and a new party next weekend in an old Prison in Tallinn,
the Patareiv on the 15th of august .

Lego animation continues

Tonight I had some friends over to help me make the tiny legomen dance in the lego club.
It's quite an effort to move each and every1 of the 60 figures. I am very thankful fot the extra help from my friends. The video is about a blonde who brings the party with her, the cops stop chasing escaped prisoners, businessmen turn rave and princes arrive on white horses, while the Dj cooks some nice earcandy. We will be done shooting in september and then we'll begin editing. So the video should be out in october probably.

Lego Rave

We're working on a music video for Barthol Lo Mejor - Callmebl0nde.
It will be a brickfilm and the biggest part of it will be a club shot. There are quite some lego animations about clubs, but I'm sure this one will be the illest. We have the craziest figures(no pirates or ninjas), the best Dj, a guy riding a white horse studio 54 style, the bl0nde and a lot of lights you can't see on the picture just yet.

Barthol Lo Mejor - Popdada

The book "Popdada" by Barthol Lo Mejor is now complete. It is a book about the lives of eight members of the creative popdada subculture. Lives filled with parties, DIY design, making music, love, unbelivable interior design, strange language and cafeine. Layout is done by one of the best - Martin Rästa. The critics have claimed his writing to be so sharp and on the point that it could kill a person. The book is meant for the children of the 21st century who have a fairly short attention span, so each chapter is a relatively short one and isn't present in the next one as it could be considered a parallel universe.
At the same time the first album of Barthol Lo Mejor is also been released under Robodada records. It is called "Popdada nites" and it's in the shape of an USB bracelet and packed into a nice rhythmbox. The first of these albums come on a black bracelet and only 50 of those are made especially for the true fans and collectors.
