Expect new music and visual goodies very soon.

Everything started on Wednesday when we went to Sofar Talinn's concert number two. I guess you already know about Sofar, but in short it's a series of concerts that take place in people's living rooms. There's no ticket but you have to register in advance to go there. Three acts play and you won't know which ones before you get there.

This time the acts were Markus Nylund, Vul Vulpes and Chalice/Jarek Kasar. Markus was standing in for Faun Racket. I had mixed feelings about that substitution, I love Faun Racket's electronic sound, but I'm not sure they would have rocked through the small speakers.

We were somewhat late and so we didn't get a good spot. Instead we hung on the indoors balcony. There were people from advertising, fashionistas and musicians in the audience. The building was in the Luther quarter and it was truly impressive. The passing trams were a nice finishing touch.

Friday was one of the quietest in a long time. We hit Von Krahl, as we didn't get to go to the "AKGP 21" neon special event. It was a Kuduro party with not that many people there. A few drinks and dances to breakcore and we left. I hit Noorus to say hi and continued from there towards Telliskivi. We never made it there.

Saturday was once again a wild night. My first Christmas party this year was at Slothrop's book shop. A great place for feeding your brain. All the people working there are interesting in different ways.

I was to play a Dj set at Red Emperor. I was excited to see how do russophone glitch/8bit/breakcore acts and DJs interact with Australians, other foreigners and xenophile girls. I was a little late to see the experiment, as the foreigner concentration was fairly light when I got there.

I got on stage at 2:30 am. After the first 15 minutes the crowd got on the stage with me and stayed till the end of the night.

The set was loads of fun. A lot of people came up to me while I was playing and I think only half of them requested a track. After an hour I gave the stage to Olya who was a real master of continuing the vibe. Big thanks to her for organizing the event in the first place.

I managed to bust my knees that night, as Tallinn is the slipperiest city in the world. To my surprise a passing guy pulled me back on my feet instantaneously. I ended the night at a birthday I can't tell you about.

Thanks to everyone who came to Noorus. It was mad fun. The Friday night was the longest one this weekend. First I played a three hour set at Noorus. Before I took over from Ellen Vene and Elisabeth Aare, the police raided the place and asked everyone for ID. I was lucky to have mine on me, as otherwise the night could have been short.

At the same time a model was celebrating her 18th birthday in the back room. I didn't get the time to go there, but people kept telling me stories about what was happening while I played in the front. As always I got a bunch of requests while playing. I did have a remix of one of those to play.

After Noorus we went to see the afterparty for Tallinn Fashion Week at former club Korter. It was now called Välk and we made it there at 4:30am. Jack Dj crew was playing and yet again models were strutting around. I was told that models hate to be asked if they are models. As the vibe was strange there I headed out towards Protest in an hour, where our friends were supposed to be.

As we made it there Jack Dj crew was playing and there weren't any models. I was asked to play as I had my records with me. The speakers had been blown so I played around 6 songs of bass rumble and then quit it.

On Sunday we went to a birthday which took place at a secret venue. I was forbidden to take photos, because "it makes people nervous"(?) but check out the coolest toilet ever down there.

Burnt house rave

 There was a special party called "Kuri Karjas" in the center of Tallinn. It took place in a burned house. Just a cross the street from a mainstream club. The event took place on a Wednesday night at around midnight. Everything was charred, there were walls missing and holes in the ground.

One of the rooms looked like a meth rape commercial with a single mattress in the middle of it and no lights on. There were also fire extinguishers spread around the windowpanes and next to the stages and heaters.

One of the guys who had no respect for the fire safety was Dj Fabrique. In the heat of the night he played his new mash up of 212 and Firestarter. His set included new ghetto electronics from around Europe.

His bass was so hard that the speakers cable kept getting loose. All of this "reminded" me of old raves where you had to call someone or some number in order to find out where the rave was going to be that night.

There were quite some scenesters present as well and I'm a bit surprised the night wasn't mentioned in other media afterwards. Strangely enough I think it was sponsored by a new drink. What better/worse place to endorse your new drink.

Then again maybe the cutouts were there to add to the crowd of the house. I left somewhat early and didn't see the biggest crowd, but the atmosphere was potent when I was there, or maybe it was just the mixture fog and smoke.

There were also incountable birthdays happening during last weekends. Things went down and  photos were taken. Here's a peek for you.

I have been missing for some time from the interwebs as I have been completing my new record. Also we spent a weekend with my good Swiss friend, shooting a music video for one of the coming tracks. I can't promise anything else then I will not hog it once I get it.

Gang plans for 2012

My mom told me that to get into a gang girls have to have sex with all the members, and I'm definitely not doing that.

I've been working on the plan for year 2012, setting goals and taking the first steps towards accomplishing them. Expect more tracks, gigs and new topics on Fluon. We're going to make this year count. I'm coming up with new ideas for clothes and stuff and I'm getting help from other people. If you have ideas or you want to help then don't hesitate to contact me. The same goes for remixes and propositions.

We've been going through the video clips from the studio live with Redlip. As soon as we come up with the concept and edit it there will be a video. I plan to make more videos in 2012, some of which will explain aspects of my music others  will take you backstage.

Pregaming Christmas.

Welcome back!

We were contacted on Thursday and asked if we wanted to play at Nälg on Friday, because the other DJs had cancelled a day before. We accepted the challenge and it was great. Me and Zuks played a 4 hour set. It started with mellow tunes and three dancing foreigners telling me to turn it up. I was prepared to rock the floor as I had schooled myself on advanced use of CDjs and brought the fresh tracks and old classics. I even played two of my own and they worked well. Zuks played with his DJ toy like last time.

There was also a very persistent German hippie girl, grabbing my knobs, while I was playing. I almost had to throw her out. At some point, when I was mixing too viciously, I lost one of the knobs. Luckily I recovered it quickly and the flow was uninterrupted. Surprisingly most of the crowd was international students. At the end of the night it was harder to keep track of what I had played already as the drinks kicked in, but my ears and body knew what they were doing. We'll meet at the dance floor soon enough.

We had a Christmas dinner on Saturday. I was urged to sing "Pick up track" before I got my present. I got a bag full of fireworks and glow sticks. It continued with games and ended with magic shots and a pillow fight. The pillow fight master was Marcus, my very distant cousin. It has been his dream to be on Fluon, as most of his friends have been featured already so this is him. Merry Christmas, Marcus!

Some times you go out for a walk and end up somewhere else. On Thursday I ended up at the art school Christmas party. It had a laid back atmosphere. Everyone had a red kitten drawn on their hand. The best part were some old friends I hadn't seen for a while plus the new friends we made. Two girls were wearing white foam hair, but that was about all the artiness I witnessed.

Christmas is the time for fireworks.
