Dark days

So you want to be the cocaine of music

Welcome back,
The snow finally came and lets see what happened before that.

Two girls found each other at a Noorus' night.

I'm playing a half-private night this Friday, if some of you want to hear that, then drop me a line.

Rave Dave kicking it with a beer before we headed out
to show off his beard at Red Emperor.
Meeting Finnish students at Red Emperor who challenged people to drink beer
with two tampons in your mouth. Eventually the challenge was excepted
and the guy did it in about ten seconds. He turned into a belly button
beer fountain.

Meeting in the earlier hours of a Tartu night.

Two zombies looking at the pool party and befriending a cat. We tried to take it to the bars with us, but it had ADHD and short legs.

Paavo Matsin hosts the sickest book launches. This time it consisted of  a tenor singing, a violinist playing, best presentation of travel photos ever, an overview of Latvian drinks,  sword fighting and Bartitsu the martial art of gentlemen. The tradition of drinking shots of pure spirit (96.7) continued.

Wet Erasmus party

shame I couldnt make it

This Friday I went to the Aura pool party yet again. Last time's pool party involved many incidents, some of which didn't fit on Fluon. The party had better music this time. It might have been, because instead of an eramus DJ there was a mixtape playing.

Crammed into a hot tub.

This time I almost didn't make it to the party. We started driving from Tallinn at around 8. That's when I got a call saying that there's a spare ticket for the pool party, but I had to make it before 10:30 when they closed the doors.

Erasmus is unisex by nature.

I urged our driver to make haste so I could join in on the wet fun and drinks. As we reached Tartu I jumped off, grabbed a pair of trunks and got back on the car.

The dancers getting ready for their act.

My ticket was supposed to be under a fake name. But as I reached Aura water center I saw a familiar face on the door. Of course the girl knew I wasn't Mihkel and asked me for the piece of paper.

No drinks allowed to be brought in.

I couldn't also reach my friends to find out why there was no ticket waiting for me at the door as they had texted me. So I stood there calling and waiting, watching all the people go in.

Erasmus-orgasmus crew.

After I had tried to get hold of them for the third time, the girl I knew waved me in. I was happy and headed to the dressing room without looking back.

Hot tub number two.

I couldn't find my people anywhere inside so I headed back to the lockers. As it turned out they had arrived after me, not before. And when they tried to leave the ticket for me, they were informed that I was already let in.

Strike a pose.

The four hours of the pool party went as usual. The drinks-water slides-sauna-light therapy routine like the two last times.

The house with its inhabitants.

Of course we had to go on the balcony with practically no clothes or shoes on, to see who catches a cold. It seems I succeeded, send me honey.

A lot is going down in the pool.

The aroma sauna is always a cool place to hide from drunkards who insist on bringing an inflatable boat to the hot tub. This time we enjoyed the arome of something called the "Japanese herbs" also my american friend got teased about his Russian skill by a Lithuanian.

The light therapy shrine.

My other favorite part is the light therapy. Basically you stare into a bright light for 15 minutes at least and your body starts producing a hormone that you don't get during the dark winter. You're not supposed to do it after 8pm not to screw up your sleeping schedule, but I like doing it at 1 am to squeeze couple more hours out of a night.

Last time I was in Kivi, girls were dancing there.

On Saturday I went to look around Tartu to see what was happening. After going through my usual places I stayed in Nälg for a drink, chatted at Kivi and went by Genklubi and Kink Konk and got home at 4:30.

I can't believe there's nothing to do.

The CitYearning EP is close to complete and if you want to be sure that you get it, then let me know in advance. The first ammount will be about 30.
See you soon!

Erasmus pool party in Aura

He's gay, that one over there's a bisexual. I know too much about them

Hey, welcome back!
Here's my pool track to listen to while you look around - Ocean Sound Wave.

At the pool like a sir.

The pool party wasn't half the party it was a year ago although this time we made it there a bit more sober. Also our party crew was bigger than last year. It's important to bring your own crew as everyone else was Erasmus students. I did meet a couple locals I kind of knew. The crowd was a third of what there was last year.

Estonian "superstar" Rasmus Rändvee's birthday party with the cameras.

Most of the time the choice was between cocktails at the pool side or being in the pool. We also played basketball and the trophy for winning was a pair of deep bite marks. In addition there were water slides, a bar with drinks, four jacuzzis and three different saunas. Some of those saunas were on the "wrong" side, but during the party most of the facilities became unisex any way.

Celebrating the end of Movember in Genklubi.

The events of the night are blurred as I was enjoyed a fair share cuba libres. I do recall seeing the end of the limbo contest. The winner was the one who could stand up by himself. I also overheard some guys and girls discuss whether they should smoke the weed inside the aroma sauna or on the balcony. Because of our presence they chose the balcony.

Pregaming in Tigutorn before the pool party.

I had never seen the DJ before and I guess there hasn't been much of a chance for that anyway. I remember his selection included the "Gangnam style" which didn't make the people go as crazy as he had hoped.

The beginning with almost no one there.

I ended my night with hitting my head on the water slide at the last minute and now I have a concussion. That might be the reason I got these photos looking so colorful. No worries I'm recovering.

The party crew in matching white robes.

There wasn't that much more to fit into the short 4 hours there. We did get a tour of sexual preferences of various men around the pool from our connoiseur of the subject.

Bad boys on the balcony.
Last falls pool party was a more impressive experience for me, but I might go to the next one or maybe not.

See you on the 14th in Nälg

Night of wet fun! - updated photos

Erasmus - orgasmus.

The best part of this week was the pool party on Friday. It was organized by the Erasmus student network. Lately one of the best concepts. You know how wild student parties can get. To get there we had to break through the heavy rain (no snow yet). The Aura center pools were full of international girls in bikinis. There were different saunas, water slides and light therapy, which was our favorite. You get to stare into a lamp for half an hour, that's a priceless experience.

The clearest photo I got.

It was hard to take photos because it was so wet by the pool, everything, even the air, was wet. There was a limbo contest and a ten-man-swim against the stream. All the winners got Red Bull. By the end of the party the mixture of alcohol, light therapy and Red Bull had produced a strange state. Luckily there wasn't water deep enough to drown in.

The goers through the haze.

We went to the exhibition opening of Gabriela Liivamägi on thursday, she's one of Fluon's favorite photographers and my banner up there is one of her photos. The exhibition was in Genklubi and Uebanda was playing afterwards. She had big and even bigger photos up, some of them finished with industrial glaze. It was a great exhibition with strong portrays.

Another photographer at the exhibition.

I had some photos of the opening, but my computer refuses to turn on. I can't add photos, but I can finish writing this post on my sister's computer. My computer works again so I got to upload some photos. Read about how a mustache saved my computer in the next post.

Gabriela's big portraits.

I've been getting played on Radio2, once or twice per day and sometimes even on prime time. I'll have some great news soon, if everything works out. There might be a secret gig coming up soon, look out for it on my Facebook page. Enjoy this last image from when we were playing with Zuks in Nälg.
