#201 Fresh Music Video Hollywood (Final Day)

Welcome back,

Half a year of work has finally ended with a new music video. After coming back to Tartu from Berlin in the summer of 2014, I was surprised by the great techno-house Tartu scene evolving around Arhiiv and some other venues. When the time to make a new music video came, the choice of documenting these old and new friends was logical.

The video for Hollywood was premiered at SÜNK III party. The crowd was laughing, clapping and screaming at the different parts of the video. The great part is that most of the people in the video are always present at the SÜNK events.

Super lives

You should move Fluon to Tumblr

We've had tons of fun at the two latest shows. I have no photos of either one, which is a sign that I should start bringing my own photographer with me to shows again. Enjoy this video from Von Krahl.


The Depeche Mode fan club's and Trash Can Dance's birthday were great lives which marked a new direction in my shows. The DM birthday had a special bus to take people from Tallinn to Tartu and back, so half of the party took place there with a stop in the middle to buy moose sausage.

The party was catered and the bottle of golden tequila I had asked for was waiting for me. All the adventures continued until 9am and I pretty much missed the next day.

During the shows most of the left EPs got sold, so at this moment I have 6 left to sell. There might be some additional ones left at Biit, World Clinic and Genialistide klubi. All in all the EP is a success even despite no reviews of it having been written. For this year it seems that the live performances are over, with a last private one on new year's eve in Tartu. Get in touch if you would want to be there.

We're already working on the next release which will be a mixtape on Trash Can Dance's label. It will be mostly old tracks mixed creatively but there will also be new unreleased tracks.

Trash also put "TV Bitch" on the birthday tape, which is the first cassette my music has ever been released on. If you weren't the first of hundred visitors at Von Krahl then there's no legal way of getting a copy. The party was wild. The bill had seven artists playing and I got on 20 minutes later than I should have. While some tired fans had already left, they were compensated by a wild pack of girls. Their determination to dance and take the best of the night was inspiring. You can see them from the video.

TV debut tonight [updated w video]

Welcome back!
The time has come! Our Frank call video is ready to be seen. It premiered this Saturday at Errorfest and it battled on Etv2 at 20:45 tonight there's also my interview.

I spent the weekend in Tallinn for the premiere at Errorfest. On Friday I saw Micrologue from Germany and Masha Dabelka from Novosibirsk playing there. They both had cool sets and great personalities. Not too many people at the festival but just the right ones. The place was an old movie theater fit for 1000 person raves. Too bad there won't be too many shows played there anymore.

I played my show on Saturday. I enjoyed singing "Pick up track" through the megaphone as it gives the voice a powerful timbre. We have footage of the live thanks to Voltri and we will use it for our next video project. The festival was crazy and I'm still not quite sure what happened there, but it was fun. There be fresh shows coming up soon maybe even a Christmas Ep.

Revealing the secret>

Congratulations on the house concert, it was well executed and interesting!

Welcome back!
I played a secret house concert to 20 of close friends and fans in my studio. It was a great show and a change from the usual format. It was more intimate and more for listening than dancing, which was an opportunity to play the calmer tracks. An hour long set with Badass Yuki remix, Deluxe and other unheard tracks. I hadn't played in Tartu for over a year.

Almost everyone invited came, plus 4 foreigners extra. They couldn't take it for too long, but it's their loss. No cops or neighbors showed up. Otherwise everyone was more or less on time, a great change from the usual "2 hours later" approach.

I want to thank everyone who came and made it possible. It was loads of fun and I plan to organize something similar again asap. Possibly for the EP release and then in Tallinn. Stay tuned not to miss it.

Thanks to Badonka Don King and Redlip for lending me the big ass speakers. Redlip also brought her boxer who contributed to the mood and whipped people with his tail. My cat wasn't a fan. We also got some footage from the concert and we'll use it in our next clip, immortalizing the participants.

but it ended with the cops crashing it.

Welcome back!

It's finally time to talk about my music video. The video is for "Frank call", its basically finished and should premiere on the 12th in Tallinn. I'm still looking for a venue and event in Tartu. It's my first time to direct a video.

Ever gotten dressed at a parking lot?

The video is about a girl called Samantha Baker who wreaks havoc around the city while a boy tries to reach her at the house. She smokes, drinks and dances around the streets and takes an occasional wizz in the back alley. At the same time the boy gets yelled at by her paranoid grandparents. During shooting we were assisted by the police, I wrote about it in this earlier post.

The budget was only 10€ and it consisted of various drinks we bought during shooting. It's possible to create on a tight budget and for that I have to thank my crew, which consisted mostly of Redlip but not only. Our actress  ***** asks you not to reveal her identity even if you recognize her. She was really easy to work with and really enthusiastic about the whole idea, even the police part. The track "Frank call" has been specially remastered for the video and has now lots more lower end.

Police assisted shoot...

We're playing a B2B electro set with Redlip tonight at Patarei. Yes, it's back to the prison for us and we're going to make you dance until your feet hurt. With Don rimini, A1 Bassline, Pnau and Bobmo in the playlist.

We've been shooting a music video. It's about a wild girl going out for a night and all the crazy adventures that happen in the night. We're almost through with shooting. We will still shoot a scene that require sexy girls. Only your below the waste part has to be sexy. Contact us asap if you want to be in the video. Along the shooting loads of crazy stuff has happened.

The best part was when we didn't have enough light for a hooligan scene. So we were going to stop the next  car and make them light our set. As our actress stopped the next car, it turned out to be a police van. She asked them anyway. They agreed to light the scene and even turned on extra searchlights. We got good footage for that scene. By far the best experience I've had with the police.

A thanks goes to Redlip for her camerawork, our actress for doing everything we told her to, all the people cheering for us during the street make-out scene and the drunk guy who fell over just so we could get it on tape. We will start editing soon and I'll keep you posted on the progress. Meanwhile come party with us tonight and find me to take a photo for Fluon together.

I'll keep it short and tell you about how we played twister on the street some other time. Here are more photos from Patareiv. I've been drinking lots of coffee and taking nights to complete some of the tracks. I've been searching for the direction to go towards. Either Calvin Harris type softer electro dance  ("Pick up track") or Huoratron and Proxy kind heavy trash Electro ("For play Ep"). I've reached something in between comparable to Tiga's "What you need". Heavy trashy bass with a popish high end on top, a rich dessert to be enjoyed. I'll play some of them in the Fluon set.

Welcome to my party and music blog, I see it more as our magazine or a zine, than a blogspot. That's why I'm really picky when it comes to photos. They have to have the right feel to them, I don't like bad photos, but I like hot photos of bad girls.



The night club awaits with real bad girls, but before that some youtube music. I have the top songs for you. I keep songs that I like on my youtube favorites, but I'll share them with you - click here for them.

My birthday is on the 5th of march, I'm going to turn 23. We're going to have a birthday party and you're invited. It will be a blog party, which will take place right here on Fluon. There will be guests, bands performing, videos and a special present from me to you. It will be available only for a day or two, so make sure you are at my party on the 5th of March on Fluon. Bring a friend with you and lets see if we can top 120 visitors which is the current record for Fluon.

We partied harder than Kylie Minogue!

I burned down the house yesterday. Luckily only things that ignited were the people and a bit of my hair - beat that, Kylie. Playing with sparklers again.

While Kylie was singing we partied. Soldiers are prancing at our national parade at the moment. I was commanding another army yesterday - an army of dancers. So many different people dancing to the beat of my kick drum: art school students, curators, Russian thugs, musicians, good friends and models.

My favorite contemporary dancer (and fan) - Henry showing his support for me and beer in the front row once again. I was still sober yesterday, I have been for all of  February. It's an useful experience, I discovered that a hangover is only 30% about the consumed alcohol. Fashion Tv is still good to watch with any kind of an hangover, especially when fashion week is in Paris.

The only video I have at the moment is from the sound check, but as you see people were dancing already.

The party was organized by the people from Estonian Art Academy. Lucky me as they took some really good photos. Bookmark me, I'll share them with you as soon as I get them. Also thanks to the organizers, the party was well organized, fun and an experience. I'm looking forward to working (partying) with them again.

I couldn't have done it without all of you dancing there. I appreciate that and also thanks for the feedback. See you soon. I'll let you know where and when and then we'll tear the night apart once again.

There would have been more people but a lot of people went to see Kylie Minogue, she was rumored to attend our party also, but I didn't see her.

What happened in 2010?

Hey! 

As 2010 ends, we look back at the passed year. Remember all the fun we had and relive it once again in our memories. I can't even remember last weeks parties so it's a bit of a challenge for me. 

The highlights I do remember from 2010, 

I:

> played 11 shows with 15 to 1200 guests,

> remixed 6 songs,

> had songs on 2 releases, one in France,

> had 80 people listen to my xmas gabber,

> was on TV,

> crashed a mixer,

> had 9 parties at my place and on the balcony,

> posed for photos,

> was featured on 39 blogs,

> wrote music for a dance-act,

> painted 6 paintings and exhibited 2 in Kumu,

> got lost in Rome and met local girls,

> learned mixing and arrangement,

> posted 26 times on this blog.

That's what I recall,  I probably forgot some wild stuff.

Now to remember all the parties, rooftops and squares I will have to make it to tonight.

There were some spontaneous Dj gigs as well but who can recall all of them. I know for sure that the last party in the Factory was wild. I had only three CDs with me, one of them was old school electro. I've never mixed as bad as then and had people dancing like that. My friend Kiwanoid fell off the counter while dancing and the party lasted until 10am. Truely a grande finale.

I am happy to finally see a video of the Public frenemies party. Strangely it was recorded at the slowest moment of my set. The track doesn't have a name and no lyrics. I'm on the left with Chungin next to me and my dancer up front. The best show this year along with NWL and Sleepwalkers brukout.

My promises for the new year:
> Play Ep will get released,
> I will sing on my tracks and at the shows,
> more wild stuff on this blog next year.

Landing a chopper with sound.

The Live at the helioport was a real experience. The sea breeze, the chopper and the guests lounging with the birthday boy. There were boats leaving and arriving as well and some fishermen who came to see what was going on. It took lots of drinks to keep warm but it comes with the job especially when playing in cool venues.

I decided to share a preview of the Röövel Ööbik remix which has not yet been released. It's the youtube video in the beginning of the post. It's a bit softer than my usual approach and has chilled vibe to it that can be enjoyed while à l'herbe.

I gained some insight into which direction pursue with my music so new tracks should be following soon and parties where those tracks will be played for your dancing pleasure. It will be the distorted bassline type of stuff in the lines of Proxy and MSTRKRFT I personally call it Drtylectro.

I'm playing live this saturday. This time in Tartu at a crazy party that's called Jurjev Supersonic 2. My design old school flyer is below. All the new remixes, fresh tracks and old classics will be played. See you there!

BTW if you haven't checked out Steve Aoki and Armand van Helden's collaboration on a track called Brrrat then be sure to do it. I've listened to it a hundred times already.

Dancing in the Dark

I spent this weekend in Viljandi. I was there working on a dance project for this spring. I have a feeling that it's going to be good. I rather like experimenting with my body and movement. Maybe more on the dance act as it develops.
After that we used some of the equipment to shoot some sequences that could be used in a possible future video.

The other reason was to establish contacts with a local club to see if it was possible to play there.

In other news there are two new videos of my Lives. Rather short ones but nonetheless here they are. My next live will be this Saturday in Genklubi and I will probably have a surprise dancer on the stage. But it's a secret ;) Also I finished the design for my shirt, with some help from a couple of designers. If everything goes well, I will wear it this Saturday and soon fans can get it as well. Yes, both of them ;)

Barthol Lo Mejor - Popdada

The book "Popdada" by Barthol Lo Mejor is now complete. It is a book about the lives of eight members of the creative popdada subculture. Lives filled with parties, DIY design, making music, love, unbelivable interior design, strange language and cafeine. Layout is done by one of the best - Martin Rästa. The critics have claimed his writing to be so sharp and on the point that it could kill a person. The book is meant for the children of the 21st century who have a fairly short attention span, so each chapter is a relatively short one and isn't present in the next one as it could be considered a parallel universe.
At the same time the first album of Barthol Lo Mejor is also been released under Robodada records. It is called "Popdada nites" and it's in the shape of an USB bracelet and packed into a nice rhythmbox. The first of these albums come on a black bracelet and only 50 of those are made especially for the true fans and collectors.
