Spring is here and it's (not so) slowly turning into the Estonian summer. Here's some photos from the moments of celebrations we've been having every day and night.

This weekend was incredibly short, but I got many good photos.
They wanted to know how come they hadn't been featured.
On Friday I went to see Zuks play at the opening of Grafodroom on Vabaduse Väljak. I had just gotten rejected by Tallinn Music Week and I needed to unwind.
You can contract all sorts of stuff from openings and sailors.
Grafodroom was a classical artists' venue. A basement with low ceilings, bare walls and a strong concentration of creative people. As the night progressed, a lot of traditional things happened.

There were different performers playing, I happened to miss some of them as the sound was most pleasant to listen to from the third room. I did see the guy with an electric guitar, dressed in black. He recruited Zuks to his band to play the backing tapes.

As usual I helped Uku with putting effects on tracks and making perfect loops. After our set there was a couple that played some generic ambient. We played Mortal Kombat on an arcade machine which was made out of a computer. I think that was the coolest thing there. The shout out for that goes to Ott.

At some point two girls arrived with a bottle of Pipraviin (spiced vodka) and I ended up drinking more of it than would have been reasonable.

Another hero of the night was the shopping cart. Noone else danced as much as it did. After all of that I swung by Must Puudel to grab a cider before heading home at 4:30.

On Saturday I started at Clazz and continued to Red Emperor where I hadn't been before. I was pleasantly surprised by that place. But it's incredibly hard to find the entrance.

From there I continued to Paar Veini, where some friends were playing records and others were drinking wine. I hadn't been there either. The fact that there wasn't much more than wine to drink was a downer as I have quit drinking wine. The sound was good though and I would like to go back to hear a good performance there.

I will be DJing twice in the coming week. I'm warming Sunlight Heart's EP tour. First on the 14th in Von Krahl and then on the 16th in Kink Konk. I will be playing a laid back electroish set so come have a listen. I won't probably do something like that anytime soon again.

Hey! I just got back from our trip. We went to see Croatia for the first time and I got to revisit Venice once again. My favorite part about the trip was Venice, as Croatia's season was ending and we stayed at a quiet beach resort.

This track used to be called "Roaming Rome", but it's fit for roaming Venice and Croatia just as well - just push play.
We spent the days on the beach and playing ping pong. Just reloading our internal batteries with the sunshine. It's a bit of a shame that we didn't spend more time in the nearby town Pula which seemed like a more active center than our town Rovinj.

Venice was as I remembered - an inspiring environment to be in. Sadly we didn't make it to the Guggenheim there, but we did manage to end up next to the biennale area one night.

The crazy thing about Venice is that allegedly 150 000 tourists visit it every day. So I'm not quite sure I would like to live in a town like that.

As for the night life, I had been recommended the square - Campo Santa Margherita, which is where all the students gather during the night time. The happy hours start at 6 and the night ends pretty early there, around two it's mostly quiet.
Venetian night life is not the liveliest - the locals drink in the bars and on the square.
We went to a bar which had 1€ wine on sale all night long. It tasted pretty good, but not in the morning. We also went to another bar which had a special on vodka, gin and rum as a shot was 1€ and a cocktail was 2€.
Never made it inside, but it looked like a cool TV church.
Things got a little out of hand and as we started heading back for our apartment, we got lost on the way. Luckily it was just next to a crowd of people in front of a bar. One of them came over to help us find a way and before we knew it, we end up drinking beer with him and 3 other guys on the square.

That was the trip in short. I'm having the clips cut together so I could give you a more vivid picture of it all. I have no idea when it will be available, hopefully eventually.

I was challenged to do a black and white post. It's a new one for me, but I thought it would go well with the photos of dark streets of Tartu with everything and everyone there. It's September again, so the streets are filled with 1st year students who know no boundaries.

I'm taking part in the Art Ist Kuku Nu Ut festival so one of the next posts will probably be about that. It was one of the highlights of last year. You can read about it here. Sadly I'm not that sure about attending the Eclectica festival this year as I might have to be in Tallinn instead.

I happened to visit the simultaneous Drama festival yesterday as well. The funnest part was using the director's badge to get into his play. Otherwise I still prefer contemporary dance to theatre, like the Burroughs dance act I wrote about.
Passing by Zavood can be hard if you are recognized.
The so called summer has ended and I'm working on my next release which probably will be on a CD(!). It will be a conceptual one and it should be lots of fun with all the extra's that are included.

I've decided to take a shot at Tallinn and I've spent most of the last week over here. Enjoy these photos from my disposable camera that I just got developped. I haven't shot on film for around 10 years and I must say the photos are fresh and nostalgic at the same time. It's as if the nineties have come back.

I've been working on new tracks and a remix of Shirubi Ikazuchi and Daft Punk. Both will be fresh and available pretty soon. Daft Punk one reminds the Justice one, but is more relaxed.

As I'm becoming more and more devoted to music, it's time to get a part-time job. I also need to get new technical equipment and a computer so that's another experiment to conduct.

The weather is getting more and more summerlike and my friend has a great terrace with fake grass to suntan and drink coffee on. I hope you are enjoying the summer as well.

Today I'm getting ready to spend the midsummer's day with friends in the country. It's important enough to skip the drinking today and to do it tomorrow. More photos from the camera in the next post.

I've been working on the plan for year 2012, setting goals and taking the first steps towards accomplishing them. Expect more tracks, gigs and new topics on Fluon. We're going to make this year count. I'm coming up with new ideas for clothes and stuff and I'm getting help from other people. If you have ideas or you want to help then don't hesitate to contact me. The same goes for remixes and propositions.

We've been going through the video clips from the studio live with Redlip. As soon as we come up with the concept and edit it there will be a video. I plan to make more videos in 2012, some of which will explain aspects of my music others will take you backstage.

Things continue to get better. I'll be back soon with good news and the progress with the E.P. My camera has seized to work at the moment, but I expect to get it fixed asap.
