I've been working on deciding what to do next in my life and music. So I haven't been out to document the night life. Having no camera helps as well. In good news, it's an inspiring time and there will be many new tracks to be heard during summer.

There's a different way to listen.

A musician who's favorite verb is "jumpstart" can only be an energizer bunny.

Finally my years work is released as an Ep. Each of the tracks from the EP can be listened to at a special time during the time. Here's a scenario relating the 8 tracks throughout a day.

Noon: Starting the day, listening to "Ocean Sound Wave" at the beach. Watching the surfers, enjoying a tasty cocktail and feeling the sun on your skin. No plans for the day except for killing time.

I enjoyed this Portugese beach.

17:00 The day has passed. Back at your place, you turn on your stereo and "Vacation Dustination" is playing. Time to change into a suit for a night out with friends. You play air guitar to the track even though there's no guitar in there. You have a good feeling about this night.

Dusk: All dressed up you go out to your favorite bar to see if your friends are already there. The speakers play "Frank Call". You join them at their table and you try to get the night unstable.

21:00 Now "TV Bitch" is playing. You are pregaming at another bar, when you see a gorgeous blonde. You walk over and introduce yourself. She turns out to be an aspiring actress and a major bitch.

22:00 You leave for the club, on the way you encouter a student mob. They're shouting and banging a beat on  empty barrels. The police is approaching from the other direction,"Molotown" is playing in you ears as you witness the clash. You decide to take the metro instead of walking.

Midnight: You finally get to the club. "BYONoise" being played on the stage. A perfect wild night. The girls are half naked and the guys are beasts. This is the place to be!

02:00 The night is getting out of hand, the track "I Dig Dirt" sounds like a heavy machinery demolition derby. It's almost too much for you, the beasts seem to enjoy it. You breathe in the chaos to enjoy it before you leave.

04:00 "Deluxe" is playing from the cab radio when you are going to a friend's afterparty. The streetlights shine in your face and passing cars leave traces with their headlights. It's a bit of a blur and the road feels endless. Soon enough the sun will rise again.

Unleashing the beast!

The quote is by Trash from Trash Can Dance. Only a couple of days before the EP is unleashed. There's a new page up there on the right and on the 7th you can find the EP there for downloading, at the moment the artwork is there for you to enjoy. If you can't wait then some tracks are already available at my Soundcloud and Popop posted "Ocean Sound Wave".

These are a couple of photos from our Danger! Danger! night. The new girl, Tamhiis started the night with some hard bangers and from there on the night was like a runaway train (runaway train never going back). As I started playing two familiar girls appeared and started dancing. Last time we were playing they were dancing, but I've never seen them at any other parties. A coincidence, secret fans or dancing stalkers? We'll see at the next "Danger! Danger!"

I say, there's still hope for Estonian music, even despite Ott Lepland winning the "Eesti Laul" contest. Lenna, stay strong, you were a jewel! The show was barely watchable, but we managed thanks to support from friends, drinks and a hookah. Celebrate "Black March" with us and stop listening to major labels stuff for a month.

Except for an awesome taco-margarita night at Tiigi street, not that many other news from this week. Most of my energy and time is focused on getting ready for Tallinn Music Week and unleashing the EP. It has been a hassle doing most of it by myself, but I have to thank Zuks for his advice on the design and Keiu for helping with the photography. It has been a valuable experience. I expect a couple of reviews in online and offline media, I'll post them as they appear. If there are no new blog posts, check my Twitter feed on the right, I post news as I get them. Be sure not to miss my free live at LHV office on the 31st in Tallinn.

Leaving Estonia!

The art auction approaches and my dream island is waiting for a buyer. There's a photo of the exhibition opening from another newspaper. I'm in the middle. As it turns out I won't be here at the time of the auction. Instead I will be on another dream island - Sicily to be precise. Going there to rest from the hard fall weather. Walking in the sunshine eating pizza and enjoying fragolino. The auction takes place on the 8th of october in Hotel Dorpat 17:00.

The Tallinn Daggers single with my remix will be available soon. It will be released the second week of October. I am eager to hear the other remixes, one from my friend Kalvik and also to see the design. Even the sound of the track could be a surprise as I haven't yet heard the master.

In these past weeks I took a while to listen to new music in the trash/dirty electro scene and to feel the directions that the scene is going toward. I discovered some artists that I now like: Haezer, Dead disco drivers and Shekel to name a few. Their dirty electro sound inspires me to follow a similar direction although my music will bend a couple of rules in music. In addition I have been researching the technical aspects of sound, just reading FM and online forums. The information that is out there can be really confusing all together but there's a lot to be learned. "Learn everything you can and then forget it and do what you want" as someone put it. Reading something like FM really shows you what long way you have to go. Comparing the stuff they use to my gear is inspiring and frustrating at the same time. I will give it my best and soon you'll have a taste of the results.

Sorry I haven't written for some time. I've been busy mostly with school but also some music stuff. My new K8 MOSH Ep hasn't reached as many people as it should have and many people still don't have a party because of that. So if you haven't downloaded and listened to it, I suggest you do it.

So pictures of my gear or rather the absence of it. On the first picture my desktop computer. Also my fresh nanoKontrol that I am happy with. I like using it for my liveshows, adding effects crossfading, adjusting volumes and other parameters, triggering samples. Also the oxygen 49 for playing melodies.

This circuitbent "Popdada Fm" used to be a radio it has a nice two output thing. One of them is amplified and the other is not. I could carry it around and play on it outside. At the moment it is broken, because one of the wires is loose and although I attempted to solder it before a show (I was kind of dipsy) I couldn't get it to work again, but I shall try again. I used it to perform in KUMU. It was a great show.

I have already introduced this piece of equipment. It's my WSG that I buit myself. It can be manipulated by pressing on the circuit. I am still missing the knobs for it.

My keytar and some circuitbent stuff is missing but I'll add them in the coming posts. In other news the remix should be soon released possible also played on the radio. I still have to tweak the sound somewhat. A lot of different projects are on the way, one of them is an exhibition and another one is a dance play. Also a vjdeo is in the making for Windshield Pfeiffer. For the people in Tartu, I will be playing this weekend in Maailm at the popular event "Neljapäev with Lazers"

In other news, I had to cancel my gig in Tallinn because I was sick but luckily there will

be the Y-Mas(my name idea) party on the 26th of december. Where I will come out with

some new tracks. One of them is a remix of my friends blues-rock band Kassidele Iirised

(kittens on butterscotch). It will be a ravish dance track with hoovers'n'shit.

The other track I look forward to completing is a track with an old hardcore sound and

quite interesting lyrics. A bit influences by the track "To the rave".

Accessorizing

My new interest is designing earrings. They make a perfect bday present for a girl. A special kind of girl in my case. I just completed the second pair of earrings. For the first one I used the knobs left over from building the synth. They were broken so no other use for them anyways.

For the other pair I used heads of lego figures. Not the classical ones, but some piratish guy with a moustache. Very decadent :D

They are still with me but will find a new owner soon.
