On Tuesday the video for "Night Out Prep" will be out. It's the first single of of CitYearning EP.

We already had a private premiere on Friday with the cast and selected people attending. After the screening I played a live that was a bit different from what you have heard before. Shooting the hookah

It all started about 8 years ago when I met Raphael in a religious camp in France. We were both into hip-hop and we bonded over that. I hadn't met him after that, but he had been reading Fluon and was amazed about the nightlife we had over here. So the logical conclusion was to invite him over here. As he had started producing videos for Red Bull's parties, sports' and dance events he suggested that we make a Barthol Lo Mejor music video when he comes over. I couldn't have agreed more.

He came during the last weeks of April and I invited over the cast to do the video. It has become a kind of a tradition that our music videos' budgets can rather be measured in bottles than money. So this video took 4 bottles of regular size champagne, bottle of big ass champagne, two bottles of vodka and countless beers and ciders.

We filmed over the weekend with 11 different cast members plus a cat. A big thanks to everyone who came as the people who didn't come were about as much. The very special moment was when my friend from Latvia called me while we were shooting asking about what to do with her two friends in Tallinn. I immediately invited them over and gave them a surprise part.

The vibe of the shoot was between ecstatic and dull as we drifted through several creative bursts and withdrawals. By the end of both nights people were drunk and there wasn't much more to do than head out to show our guest the nightlife at EKKM, Red Emperor and so on.

It took over the summer to get the video done and there were altogether 3 cuts made. I remixed the music between the second and third cut to make it suite the video better. Like the video for "Frank Call" this one also had a crew of two if you don't count the cast.

Burnt house rave

 There was a special party called "Kuri Karjas" in the center of Tallinn. It took place in a burned house. Just a cross the street from a mainstream club. The event took place on a Wednesday night at around midnight. Everything was charred, there were walls missing and holes in the ground.

One of the rooms looked like a meth rape commercial with a single mattress in the middle of it and no lights on. There were also fire extinguishers spread around the windowpanes and next to the stages and heaters.

One of the guys who had no respect for the fire safety was Dj Fabrique. In the heat of the night he played his new mash up of 212 and Firestarter. His set included new ghetto electronics from around Europe.

His bass was so hard that the speakers cable kept getting loose. All of this "reminded" me of old raves where you had to call someone or some number in order to find out where the rave was going to be that night.

There were quite some scenesters present as well and I'm a bit surprised the night wasn't mentioned in other media afterwards. Strangely enough I think it was sponsored by a new drink. What better/worse place to endorse your new drink.

Then again maybe the cutouts were there to add to the crowd of the house. I left somewhat early and didn't see the biggest crowd, but the atmosphere was potent when I was there, or maybe it was just the mixture fog and smoke.

There were also incountable birthdays happening during last weekends. Things went down and  photos were taken. Here's a peek for you.

The simplest punch I've ever had.

I have been missing for some time from the interwebs as I have been completing my new record. Also we spent a weekend with my good Swiss friend, shooting a music video for one of the coming tracks. I can't promise anything else then I will not hog it once I get it.

Shooting around Tartu

What the hell is this horse song? The Röövel Ööbik stuff, it's damn good horsemode

Hey, hey!
I've spent most of my week in my Tartu studio, working on the tracks for the coming EP. At the moment there's also a track with vocals that I'm working on. For some of you it's the end of a long wait for some vocals. Apart from producing I went to a shoot of a TV show and played a sad set on Friday. More on that.

On Wednesday we went to Kink Konk, as Kuukulgur was filming a Tartu scene there. Such local celebrities as Rain Tolk, Andres Maimik and Mihkel Raud were present. The scene was something about a bunch of writers hanging with honnies in Tartu. The most interesting part was when Mihkel Raud had to be kissed by 3 girls in a row.

The sucky part was that we were supposed to be quiet, but act like we were talking and interacting at a bar. Ain't nobody got time for that! I got in a closer shot as well so you might keep your eyes opened for it when the show comes out.

On Friday there was a masked night at Genialistide Club. It was fun because I wore a full mask and no one could recognize me and it got them real confused. Some how I didn't get many decent photos from that night. But the night was decent with interesting act including a humorous electro producer who is blind.

The sad part was the equipment once I got to play. The video gives quite a good sample of the horrific pops and crackles that it shot. Not to mention the lack of bpm count and what not. I squeezed what I could out of it and I got a message this morning saying that it was decent. I'd have to send mad props to the people on the dance floor as they took the half an hour of horrific noise and shit that the machine generated. Most of crowds would have left, but not these party people.

Only good photo I got from the party is of this girl feeling bad.

That's what we did with the weekend which isn't even over yet. I'm going to get working on the EP tracks and see you soon at Tallinn.
